Professional Experience

Karyn Lowrey began her career in public accounting in 1994 and joined BSPJ in 1998. Karyn’s primary responsibilities include managing and performing audits and other assurance services for clients with up to $300 million in annual revenue including private entities, not-for-profit entities and employee benefit plans. These clients represent a variety of industries including manufacturing, wholesale/distribution, technology, contracting and freight delivery services.

Karyn’s primary area of technical expertise is GAAP basis financial reporting. She utilizes this skill within the firm by actively participating in the firm’s Quality Control Team, which provides a technical review for financial statements issued.

Additionally, Karyn has performed internal control consulting and other agreed upon procedures related to employee compensation and benefit plans for existing clients.

B.S. degree in Business Administration, Accounting (Cum Laude), University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, 1994.

Hobbies/Interests

Outside of work, Karyn enjoys spending time with her family and friends, ecotourism, adventure travel, running and scuba diving. As an avid scuba diver, she has logged dives in Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean and is currently continuing her diving education with advanced training.
