Your connection to advanced tax and financial solutions

“Anyone who has worked in the real estate industry knows how complicated the financing, deal structuring, accounting and tax planning can become. While someone who doesn’t know this business can easily be overwhelmed, I thrive on the challenges and enjoy putting my expertise in these areas to work for clients. I think that’s one reason why once they start with us, they stay with us.

Experience

Christy has 30 years of experience in public accounting and private industry, including 11 years with a Big Eight accounting firm and three years with an Atlanta real estate company. She formed her own accounting practice in 1994 and merged with Braver Schimler & Co. in 2004. Her experience includes consultation and planning for complex tax situations involving individuals, estates, businesses and investment groups.

Expertise

Christy specializes in income tax planning and compliance for clients in the real estate industry, including residential, commercial, industrial, shopping center, and apartment developers and investors. In addition, she has assisted many clients with various financial reporting and planning matters. She also works with many small to mid-size businesses, as well as high net worth individuals and families.

Approach

Once she has gained a full understanding of a client’s business activities, finances and strategy, Christy advises the client as if the business were hers. This means considering all aspects of each situation, including financial position and related business effect, so she can help owners make wise decisions.
